Employment Opportunities

English as a Second Language - Anticipated English as a Second Language (ESL) position available at Montour School District.  The following three certifications are required for this position: English as a Second Language Program Specialist, English 7-12 and Elementary K-6.  Interested applicants should submit resumes to [email protected]. 

Long Term Substitute 8th Grade Science – Anticipated Long Term Substitute for 8th Grade Science at DEW Middle School from the time period of February 3, 2025 - June 5, 2025.    One of the following certifications is required: Science 7-12, or Science 6-9, or Elementary 4-8 with 7-8 Science. interested applicants should submit resumes to [email protected]. 

Paraprofessional – Anticipated paraprofessional vacancy in the Montour School District.  Duties may include providing assistance in the areas of academic support, behavioral support, and assisting students with daily living needs such as feeding and toileting.  Crisis prevention training, including restraint training, may be required.  Associates degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.  Interested applicants must submit their resume to [email protected] by October 9, 2024.

Substitute Noon Supervisors – needed at both Montour Elementary School and DEW Middle School for up to three (3) hours per day.  Interested applicants should submit an application  via email to [email protected] or in person to Human Resources, 225 Clever Road, McKees Rocks, PA, 15136.  (see support staff application posted at the bottom of this page)

Part Time and Substitute Food Services Workers – the Nutrition Group is currently seeking part time and substitute Food Service Workers for all three Montour School District buildings.  Duties may include cooking and food preparation, portioning and serving food, as well as maintaining compliance with state and federal sanitation guidelines and regulations.  Interested applicants should contact Cortney Gill, Food Services Director at [email protected].

  • Substitute Nurses

We are currently accepting applications for substitute nurses.  Prior experience in a school district or with children preferred. Interested candidates should send resume to [email protected] or fill out an application in our central district administrative offices.

Candidates must be able to meet all clearance and background requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
PA state clearances, Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training, and TB test results  
 
Teachers: $125/day, $150/day after 25 days
Active PA teaching certificates, inactive teaching certifications(for one year.
 
Paraprofessionals: $15/hour, $17/hour after 25 days
High School Diploma
 
Secretary: $15/hour, $17/hour after 25 days
High School Diploma
