Mr. Jason Burik was recently appointed as Assistant to the Superintendent for the Montour School District. He previously served as principal at Ingram Elementary and taught at David E. Williams Middle School and Forest Grove Elementary School. He earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education and psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), and his master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Burik is also a proud graduate of Montour High School. He holds certifications in elementary instruction, K-12 administration, and supervision of curriculum. While attending UMBC he played on the school's Division I. basketball team and earned academic all-conference honors. Mr. Burik lives in the district with his wife and 3 sons. Personal interests include playing basketball, website design, and Lego architecture. Mr. Burik’s commitment to the Montour community is to provide the highest quality education possible for each and every student. He will focus on improving instructional programs, integrating technology into classrooms, and help create a spirit of collaboration and open communication. |
